Campus for New Media | Hudson, New York

Rhode Island School of Design | Advanced Studio led by: Hans Tursack

Situated in rural upstate New York, a graduate school campus for new media production invites conversations on nocturnal atmospheres and quasi-urban form. Organization of the site was developed through digital physics simulations and creates an objects-in-a-field scenario.

The campus scatters a library of buildings across the site and binds them together through a network of elevated walkways. Main creative spaces, such as sound stages and recording studios, are housed underground - away from light and noise. The campus and its digital media activities are at their best in the middle of the night.
