City Links (Grand Rapids, Michigan)

'City Links' is a large-scale, interactive, outdoor furniture installation designed and fabricated as part of ArtPrize 2022. The piece is composed of a branching web of colorful benches that can be rearranged by visitors to accommodate different social situations. Each bench is mounted on wheels that allow visitors to reconfigure the sausage-like seating in any way they desire. Here you are invited to wheel the snaking benches together for a quick coffee date or circle up for a family lunch.
